hey guys, i know this isn't a new movie but i only saw it for the first time the other day and i loved it- i even bought it on dvd too!

any thoughts?

Take me back to 1987!!! Its a great fun flick, very very '80's. "Rules! We got some rules 'round here!" from grandpa... oh the lines, I could spend some time spouting off from the movie. I own two copies, one is the regular version and one is the special 2 disc edition. I am not obsessive about vampires. Nope. Not at all.

Its one of my annual viewings when I go on a movie binge. (actually ALL the vampire movies I own get a regular viewing lol)

I love that movie! It's one of my favorite vamp flicks. It's so fun, and it's an 80s flick. For some reason, 80s flicks are just so great to watch.

This was a great movie! It was so campy and just great. I loved Billy Wirth in it, I really had the hots for him back in the day and hello Jason Patric? Need I say more. I aslo just really loved the two Coreys--I wish they would make a sequel that somehow would be as good, but I don't see it could happen!

i love the part when sam realizes his brother is a vampire "Look at your reflection in the mirror. You're a creature of the night Michael, just like out of a comic book! You're a vampire Michael! My own brother, a goddamn, shit-sucking vampire. You wait 'till mom finds out, buddy!"

I know it was a while ago and he's probably much older than me but....Jason Patric(Michael) is Hot! , I loved his character too

Sam: "What did you do to my dog you a**hole!?"
Michael:"Nothing!, he bit me this is my blood"
Sam looks at Michael in mirror
"Your a creature of the night Michael!....., what till Mom finds out!!!"

lol, thats hilarious, and the two Coreys were great too

I always enjoyed the perfect way Keifer portrayed that eternal teenage boredom - I always figured he was typecast in this flick...

Thats a classic! I don't know who I loved more David or Michael! Sam was hilarious when they tried to expose the head vampire and their expermient failed!

oh man that was like my coming of age movie (i guess that is what you would call it?). It's my Mom's favorite movie so she was so excited for me to see it. So when i was 14 we watched it together and i was hooked. It's definitely one of my favorite movies and got me into the vampire genre.

I have seen this movie like 20 times and I still watch it multiple times each year when it comes on TV. I never tire of it.

I looked at the Lost Boys sequel. I don't know...I am not to keen on the idea. I mean it is 21 years later. Plus Michael isn't in it. I'll have to wait until it is on video, unless the preview convince me otherwise.
